Gia Rosa Creativity Studio
I’m Julie Rose DeFeo and I created Gia Rosa to help people have fun exploring their creativity while they learn beading. My specialty is teaching beginners: I love it!
What I hear the most from my students is “You’re so patient!” We will work with you at your pace before moving forward. There is no pace other than the one that you learn best from.
I love working with people at that wonderful point of discovery.
As you look through the class listings keep in mind that most of my classes run as one-on-one tutorials, so please ask for exactly what you want and for a time that is convenient for you. I will match the class to your needs and interests. (You can come to my home studio or I can come to your location.)
I also offer ‘party’ versions of my classes. They are quite fun—learning with a few friends and making jewelry together. It’s great fun and everyone walks away with your own unique piece. (Several classes can be tailored to children and teens parties as well.)
If you want to try jewelry making, beading or glass bead making give me a call—I guarantee that you’ll have fun while you learn.

Julie, I met you last weekend, at the Artisans Market. My friend and I were down in Santa Fe for our annual girls getaway weekend. I just wanted pass along my thanks and appreciation for the short time you spent with us, but also again for the great glass bead that I purchased. I’ve already worn it quite proudly. You should know we both walked away from there discussing and committing to making this a priority to schedule a class with you on our next get away! You impressed us greatly with your passion for the art as well as the education. I’m really intrigued by what you do, and really would be interested in learning that art. We’ve been coming to Santa Fe for 10 years now, and each year I believe I leave a bigger piece of my heart there when I get inspired by others work like this! Your work was truly organic, creative, and showed such unique individuality. You are such an inspiration! Thank you again, and hope that I get the chance to spend more time with you in the future. I will visit your website regularly to keep up with classes and other possiblities.
Sincerely,
Lisa Arp
Lisa, Thanks so much for your kind words! It would be so much fun to teach you and your friend how to make glass beads. It is truly a wonderful art form that I love to teach. Keep in touch as you make plans for your next get-away. In the mean time, I will be posting more of my new work on the site and adding an etsy store in the near future.
All the best,
Julie
